Book Cabinet – Details prior to glue up

Shaping bottom of case sides
Shaping bottom of case sides

Prior to initial case glue up I had to cut the notch in the bottom board for the extended door stiles. I used a tall fence and dado stack on the table saw.

Next, the bottom case side design was rough cut with my Gramercy bow saw, then refined with rasps and sanding.

Brusso offset pivot (knife) hinges will be used to hang the two doors. Hinge mortises were created with the trim router and chisel. Pilot holes drilled for the screws.
